Lunaville was named after Wilfred Luna. Wilfred Luna was the Mayor of Vlaudville. For several years, there was an ongoing argument between Wilfred Luna and the Mayor of Cherryview, Crucifer Dipple.

Crucifer Dipple was the grandson of Cantius Dipple, a self-made multimillionaire. Cantius Dipple invented the Sim Transportation System (also known as the STS). The STS revolutionized the way Sims travel. Sims no longer have to drive on bumpy roads, they can now travel by trains. Trains made traveling faster because it allowed your Sims to get where they wanted to go. Trains are operated and maintained by STS employees. Bathrooms and eating establishments were built in so Sims can fulfill their most basic needs on the go. All in all, the STS made Cantius Dipple a very rich man indeed. With all the money Cantius Dipple earned, he bought several acres of land. He built residential homes, apartments, shopping centers, schools and parks. He named this new neighborhood; Cherryview, thus he became Cherryview’s very first Mayor. With all his wealth, Cantius didn’t have anyone to share it with. One day, Cantius went into town and met a very nice young woman named Claris Wittlebaum, who just moved to Cherryview. A few years later, they were married. Several months after that, they had their only son, Clavius Dipple. Clavius had a very happy childhood. When Clavius became a teenager, he left home and went off to college. Four years later, Clavius graduated with honors with a degree in Business. Clavius made his own mark in the Business world, by becoming CEO of Simsoft, the leading manufacturer in operating software. Clavius Dipple later married and had his very own son, Crucifer.

Many years later, Cantius retired and his son Clavius became the second Mayor of Cherryview. Cantius enjoyed his retirement immensely and died a very happy Sim. When he died, he left his only grandson, Crucifer a very large inheritance. Cantius stated in his will that Crucifer can only claim the money when he became an adult. Since Crucifer was only a teenager when his grandfather died, his father deposited the inheritance in a trust fund. Unwittingly, the Dipple family didn’t realize there was a very young man hiding in the shadows. Several years later Crucifer Dipple claimed his money or did he? Many years later, Crucifer’s father died, and he became the third Mayor of Cherryview. Crucifer’s life as Mayor couldn’t get any better until someone found out about his very dark secret that it will cause mayhem with the walls of Crucifer Dipple’s world.

Several years before, there was an ongoing argument between Crucifer Dipple and the Mayor of Vlaudville, Wilfred Luna. Wilfred wanted to build a bridge that would connect Vlaudville with Cherryview. Wilfred felt it would increase commerce between the businesses between the two neighborhoods. Crucifer Dipple was totally against it. Since the argument wasn’t going anywhere, Wilfred suggested that it would be a good idea to have a meeting with a select few who would represent both neighborhoods. Crucifer didn’t like this idea at all but he went along with it anyway. A few days later, a meeting was held. It was unanimous, both neighborhoods agreed to build the bridge. Wilfred was ecstatic by the good news; on the other hand, Crucifer was displeased.

At the meeting a few months earlier, Edward Furrow from Cherryview noticed the odd behavior coming from his Mayor. Edward was a childhood friend of Crucifer but his family had to move because of his father’s job. Even though he hasn’t seen his friend Crucifer since he moved he felt something wasn’t right. This was not the Crucifer he knew. The Crucifer he knew would have obliged to the building of the bridge because that was something his grandfather would have wanted. Edward did some investigating and found out some disturbing news. What he found out shook Crucifer’s life upside down.

Crucifer Dipple isn’t really Crucifer Dipple. He is an imposter by the name of Ferric Lide Crupp. He was the son of the gardener of the Dipple family. Crupp killed the real Crucifer Dipple. He decided to kill him after he overheard how much inheritance Crucifer was going to receive from his grandfather when he became an adult. Crupp saved a lot of his money so he could get plastic surgery to physically look like Crucifer and claimed the inheritance. When Cherryview residents and business heard of this deception, they confronted Crucifer. Crucifer denied the allocations but later recanted and said it was true. The residents were furious that they were deceived this whole time. Later that day, the maid found Ferric Lide Crupp dead in his bedroom, stabbed with a knife, poisoned and suffocated. Nobody knows who killed Ferric Lide Crupp and nobody ever will. The secret died with the killer.

After Crupp was murdered, the residents and businesses from both neighborhoods renamed Cherryview to Lunaville in honor of Wilfred Luna. Since Lunaville needs a new Mayor, they asked Wilfred Luna to become the Mayor. Wilfred Luna accepted and he became the new Mayor of Lunaville.
